"The Renegades played at our Tauranga wedding in March 2019 and they were an absolute hit!! Having seen them already at a friend’s wedding the year before, we knew they had a great sound and could entertain a crowd, but they completely exceeded our expectations.
Every song they played had people up and dancing, even the bride's 93 year old grandfather. The guests can't stop talking about the live music, all remarking that the band had created the best atmosphere for our celebration. The venue owners also mentioned The Renegades are one of the best bands they have seen play and were up dancing themselves too.
Chris and the crew were easy to deal with, took our requests on board and even played our wedding dance live. The rest of the setlist was bang on and suited our setting (farmyard/barn) to a tee. They also don't need a full drum kit as they play through a mic'd up Cajon box which sounds amazing, but also a big plus for us as the venue had strict sound control requirements that this helped fufill. We would highly recommend The Renegades if you want that X factor at your big day.

From the very beginning, Chris from The Renegades has been so easy to deal with.
They are professional, friendly, and very organised! We had an intimate wedding in a vineyard and hired them for the afternoon cocktail hour - they gauged the atmosphere and played at the perfect level of volume. Everyone got up and danced on a very warm afternoon.
All of our guests kept commenting on how great they were - from the choice of songs they played, amazing vocals, great balanced instruments (I especially love the Cajun drum, and harmonica sections!) Even my dad who is usually very shy, went up and sang along when you played his favourite song ‘Take me home, Country Roads’.
You will definitely be seeing our guests and us at your future gigs around Auckland!

Seriously though, we first heard you guys play at The Riverhead last year. I heard your arrangement of Dancing in the Dark and I was just blown away. The next day, I said to Aaron that if we ever got married (we were together for over 7 years at that stage and I wasn't sure it was ever going to happen!), then I would really like The Renegades at our wedding. Aaron agreed and the rest is history. To be completely honest, I asked him to change the date of the wedding as you were not available on the day we had on hold!
The atmosphere was incredible and everything was so professional. The music, arrangements, and set list were fantastic and exactly what we enjoy. Thank you for making it such a memorable night.

All I wanted to do to celebrate my 50th was dance and sing the night away with my family and friends to great music while drinking cocktails and The Renegades made this girls dreams come true.
They played and they played and played. All the greatest songs, with the best vocals and sounds. Everyone danced and sang and had a ball. so many people messaged us the next day to say it was the best party they had been to and that was because of this bloody fantastic band. All during the party people were raving how great they were. We had friends and family from mid teens to late 70's and they all loved the music that was played.
I see more parties in our future and these guys will 100% feature.
And if your after the nitty gritty, they were on time, well priced and super easy to liaise with.
